Eccentric billionaire John Hammond spares no expense in creating a theme park in Costa Rica featuring biologial attractions — live dinosaurs. In order to win the approval of the park’s investors, Hammond invites several experts to the island to have them sign off on it; a paleontologist, paleo-botanist, and mathematician. Err, chaotician.
But then it begins to rain…
This laugh-out-loud loving satire features a singing chorus of tap-dancing dinosaurs (velocitappers?), a patter song about Chaos Theory, and even showgirl dilophosaurs complete with glittery venom. The show combines dance, comedy, vaudeville, and parodies of popular songs to create a world where John Hammond didn’t just play God… he played Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sondheim, and Ashman and Menken.
Jurassic Parody: The Musical! combines witty dialogue and hilarious songs to make a musical parody of a certain Spielberg movie that’s sure to be popular with seasoned fans of the film and dinosaur newbies as well.
